End of the World, Or is it?

A couple of weeks ago i had a dream that the world was ending with asteroids, it got me thinking. How many times can the ending of the world be predicted, and is my dream trying to tell me something, or is it just my brain telling me im crazy? How will the world end? We had the Mayan calendar 'scare', The year 2000 Y2K, and Sir Isaac Newton predicted among other things the world ending in 2060. Who is to say that will even happen, the predictions of the past havent come true. The world will one day end but i guess its not in our power to know when.
